Our story.
John Gerber opened Gerber's Tropical Fish 25 years ago as a local distributor and whole sale business. After many of the local chains began to discontinue saltwater fish sales Mr.Gerber opened his doors to the public to continue fostering the aquarium hobby in the greater Dayton area. Since opening John has expanded the store front a few times, proving his love and dedication for not only fish, but reptiles too. Gerber’s now offers a large variety of freshwater and saltwater fish, corals, reptiles, food for all of aquarium friends needs and a large selection of dry goods. If Gerber’s doesn’t have it in stock, they will get you any fish you wish!
Our Policies
At Gerber’s, We offer a 24 hour guarantee on fish*.
*Requirements: To be eligible for this guarantee you must return the fish and bring a water sample (separate from the fish bag) within the 24 hours. We HIGHLY encourage bringing a water sample BEFORE the purchase as well.
We accept unused/unopened dry good returns with in store credit minus a 10% restocking fee. We CAN NOT accept any decorations/gravel/dry goods that are used to ensure the safety of the future customer. (If you would like to return used goods, we will purchase them back at our trade in prices/credit.)
We DO NOT accept the returns, refunds, or guarantee on ANY reptile, amphibians, arachnid or feeder food.
